I personally prefer cork yoga blocks but many people like foam blocks more. Foam yoga blocks are lightweight and softer than cork blocks (not great for arm balances and some advanced postures but doesn't make a big difference for beginners). They are not as sturdy as cork yoga blocks but can be more comfortable in some restorative postures. Learn 30 ways to use yoga blocks

The Jade Voyager mat is an extra thin (1.6mm) and extra light (680g) travel yoga mat. It can be rolled like a normal yoga mat or folded like a towel. It has the same excellent grip as other Jade Yoga mats but no cushion. I like to use this mat for travel and sometimes at home for standing practice or placed on the carpet for extra cushion. This is the mat I took for my one-month-long yoga teacher training in India - the mats that the school provided were thick but a bit slippery, so I used to place my mat on top for extra grip. The mat not only survived a month of everyday intensive practice but looked almost brand new at the end. See this mat in the video

Jade Yoga is my favorite yoga mat brand. Jade Harmony is the yoga mat I use most of the time at home. It's 5mm thick, provides an excellent grip and cushion. Jade Yoga mats are made from natural rubber and last for years. I have a 68” (173cm) length version - you can see how long it is in the video (I'm 169 cm tall for reference).
